Pastoral Council
The parish Pastoral Council is consultative to the pastor and to the pastoral staff in pastoral planning and in responding to the pastoral needs of the parish.  The council concerns itself primarily with “heart and soul matters”, that is, those aspects of parish-life which support wholeness and members of the parish community.  The Pastoral Council assists in establishing priorities and goals for the parish, promotes ongoing dialogue between the pastor and his staff and parishioners and various parish organizations.  As a praying community the Pastoral Council provides the example to lead the entire parish to a fuller life of prayer.  Representative of all the parishioners, the Pastoral Council provides leadership, direction, motivation and encouragement for ongoing parish planning in consort with the deanery, the diocese and the Universal Church.
